Here is the interview that I did with Loretta Livingstone for the Promises to Remember Party!
What main genre do you currently write in and what inspired you to write in this area?
I guess I’m still finding a main genre. I have been writing short stories and a novelette up until now, but I’m just starting to write novels.
Tell me something totally fun and random about yourself that readers may be surprised by.
Lol. I need time to thnk. All I can think of atm is that I just The snow and tobogganing.
Who is one person that not only inspires you but impacts the author that you are today?
Sharon Penman has to be the author who I would be most impacted by, as I am in the middle a historical novel atm. she does not rite clean fiction, but her writing style is superb as is her knowledge of her subject.
For 2015 have you set any goals for yourself when it comes to your author career?
This is the year I aim to produce my first full length novel. I am writing a story set partly in current times but mainly in 1191. (And I just noticed my ipad didn’t add the w in the word write above! Slaps head!) it is the one thing I always said I wouldn’t write! Aha! There is something fun about me for no 2. I started writing poetry and absolutely declare I would never write fiction. That was three fiction books back, lol.
If you could choose a “how to tutorial for indie authors” what would it be and why?
My ‘how to’ tutorial is Discovering the Diamond by Helen Hollick. Helen recommended it to me when she gave me some advice once, and although I don’t follow everything in it it is absolutely full of advice on how to produce a professional quality product.
