How many books do you currently have out on the market?
I currently have 2 urban fantasy books and 2 steamy short stories published.

What book are you currently working on or have recently released?
I am currently working on Sunflowers & Poppies, a paranormal romance with the characters from my steamy short story Red. I am also working on Hang the Stars, the third book in my Alaskan Hunter series.

What is one of the biggest challenges that you have faced as an author and what did you do to overcome it?
Procrastination. I’m still working on that one.

What is the easiest way for new readers to follow you and to stay up to date on your latest work?
Either through Facebook or Instagram at blackwingdoll

Who is one person that you have always been able to count on when it comes to supporting your writing?
It’s not one, but two. My two long time best friends. One I’ve known for nearly 30 years and the other 20. I wouldn’t be able to do this without their encouragement. They’ve been there since the beginning and aren’t afraid to tell me if something isn’t working.

Are you working on any new projects or have anything exciting that you would like to share with us?
I am! I have a short story coming out in an anthology called Demons, Devils and Denizens of Hell Volume 2. My story is titled After Midnight. It’s based around a pair of hellhounds sent out to fetch a particular witch for their Alpha. It’s a brief introduction to a set of characters I’ve been working with for almost a year. I’m hoping to have the first book in their series out late next year.

If you could change anything about the book world what would it be and why?
National reading days where we all get a day(s) off work to just read and enjoy talking about books.

From your own stories are there any particular characters that you think represent you or someone else in your life?
There are a few that represent different aspects of some my friends. Caleb, Rome, Falene, and Ellie are the characters that come to mind on first thought.

If you had to choose a single genre to read or write for the rest of your life what would you choose and why?
Urban Fantasy. It’s my favorite escape. You get drama, action and sometimes a bit of romance and angst.

Are you a fan of Halloween and if so what is your favorite thing about it?
Yes! I love Halloween! Bats are my favorite animals. I love that there is lots of bat stuff out this time of year.
