Here is my author interview with Sherry Rentschler for The Multi Genre Fall Book Ball Event. We will be featuring her book Time and Blood so make sure to grab your copy today!

How many books do you have on the market?
8 – With the new release, I will have 3 fiction, 3 poetry, one memoir and one photography

What book are you working on or recently released?
This year, The Gypsy Thorn released in May and is the prequel to the new Evening Bower series. My new release
Oct 31, is Time and Blood, and is the first book in the series.

What is one of the biggest challenges that you have faced as an author and what did you do to overcome it?
When I first started, time management was a problem because I was in the military and I had to work around so
much. Then I retired from the military and I worked on magazines and newspapers and a writers groups. Finally, I reached a point where I was no longer working and I learned to treat myself as a business. Now I write every day, no matter what. It makes all the difference to give myself a dedicated time for me to write. I wish I’d learned that earlier.

What is the easiest way for new readers to follow you and to stay up to date on your latest work?
On my website you can sign up for my newsletter, find links to Facebook and other areas like Twitter. Start there
and if that’s not enough, you can contact me from the website and I will answer you.

Who is the one person that you have always been able to count on when it comes to supporting your writing?
Hands down, my husband. We will be married for 28 years on 28 Oct. And I’ve known him for 31 years.

Are you working on any new projects or have anything exciting that you would like to share with us?
Book 2 in the series, Love and Blood will come out late summer of next year. Plus I’m working on a fairy story
(with real fairies), a book of vingnettes from my series characters, and a workbook for learning to write every day.

If you could change anything about the book world what would it be and why?
I would make it longer. From your own stories are there any particular characters that represent you or someone else in our life? My character Rhea (she’s one of my main characters and a phoenix) is me. And my sexy sassy redhead vampire Drahomira, is my alter ego.

If you had to choose a single genre to read or write for the rest of your life what would you choose and why?
Vampire Paranormal Fiction/Romance. I love my vampires! Did you know they are only one of two creatures
found in EVERY culture around the world? Makes you wonder how such legends existed in cultures that never interacted with each other. In every legend, lies a little bit of truth….

Are you a fan of Halloween and if so what is your favorite thing about it?
LOVE Halloween. I love the legends that create the reasons for everything we do. I love the mystery and magic. I love the idea of a thin veil opening between worlds on All Hallows Eve and that maybe the dead will be watching. I love the spooky, creepy, scary, deliciousness!
