Rockin Around the Anthology Tree Interview – Adele Downs

adeleHere is my interview with Adele Downs. She is the author of Hook Me Up which is part of the Into the Flames anthology that we will be celebrating during the Rockin Around the Anthology Tree Event. Thank you Adele for taking the time to do the interview with me.

Which book of the Into the Flames Anthology is written by you and can you tell us briefly what we can expect to find from the book?
HOOK ME UP by Adele Downs is a sweet but sexy novella with emotional drama and a touch of humor. Think TV show “Chicago Fire” with a central love story, a rescue, lots of antics, and a diverse cast of characters.

If you could be a character in any of the books that make up the Into the Flames anthology who would you choose and why?
I’m probably most like my heroine, Lexi Wentworth, in HOOK ME UP. I didn’t realize until the story was written that she and I are deeply connected by tragedy. The kitten in the story reminded me of a kitten I adopted when I was single. I called her Minx and, believe me, she earned the name.

indexHow many books from the anthology have you read personally and did you have a favorite?
I loved all of the stories, of course! Each author of INTO THE FLAMES is talented and has a unique voice. I’m so pleased to be part of the collection.

Are you currently working on any new projects that you would like to share with us?
I have three new projects in the works, but can’t share details yet.

How many anthologies are you a part of and what do you think are the biggest pros/cons to doing an anthology versus a solo book?
INTO THE FLAMES is my first anthology as Adele Downs, and I enjoyed the support and division of labor that comes with a group. The project manager who spearheaded the collection has done a stellar job keeping us organized.

Do you have any goals set for yourself for the upcoming 2016 year?
Book one of a contemporary romance series is finished and I plan to write three additional novels in that series. I’ll be working on those books in 2016 and beyond.

With it being so close to Christmas do you have any special memories or traditions that you want to share with us?
My husband and I always host Christmas dinner for our family. We cook together using fresh ingredients and bake our own desserts. It’s our favorite day of the year.

What has it been like being part of the Into the Flames anthology?
INTO THE FLAMES is my first indie project, and it was exciting! I’m happy to have been invited to write a story for the collection. I hope readers love what we’ve done.
